Packaging Policy
I have a very simple packaging policy: I use as little as possible and I recycle whenever possible. I don’t produce lots of fancy boxes, felt or lace bags and I won’t include a photo of myself, my family or my dog with your purchase. When you buy something from 23-59 you will know that we have concentrated solely on 2 things:
- The quality of the product we supply.
- The service with which we supply that product to you.
If you contact me I’ll get back to you inside 12 hours. If you have a question I’ll answer it in both a professional and friendly manner. When you order something I’ll post it to you the same day or the next day. If the site shows we have stock then we have stock.
If I begin to package everything in cute looking boxes and envelopes, that cost is passed on to you, the buyer. Personally, when I receive a part for my watch, I install it and throw away the packaging and I’m guessing most do the same, so spending exuberant amounts on dressing up those watch parts makes little or no sense to me.
Secondly, like it or not, we do have a responsibility to take care of the planet we live on. Recycling makes sense and that’s what we do at 23-59. If you purchase a signed crown, for example, it will come sandwiched carefully between two pieces of recycled cardboard to keep it straight and protected during transit. It will then be placed in a clean, new, padded jiffy envelope and clearly labeled. Your part will, therefore, arrive with you undamaged. It won’t win an industry packaging design award but hopefully the product inside will more than make up for that.
